After the not so impressive day 1, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero takes a dip on its second day. Considering Saturday when films usually witness an upward trend, this romantic drama has failed to draw the public to theaters, and thus we observe a fall in the number of collections. All and all, Zero box office collection day 2 are 18.22 cr which cannot be considered decent considering the number of screens it has been released on.
Zero opened slightly on a lower side on Friday and bagged only ₹ 20.14 cr. Why we are tagging this collection as low because the number of screens it was released were huge. Zero released on 4380 screens pan. Besides, Shah Rukh Khan came with a massive starcast like Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in other pivotal roles.
Ice on the cake was Aanand L Rai who has directed films like Tanu Weds Manu 1 and 2, Raanjhanaa, Happy Bhag Jayegi, etc. Therefore, trade analysts expected it to open with at least a decent sum of ₹ 25-30 cr. But Zero could not ignite that magic and ended up collecting mere ₹ 20.14 cr.
Now, the industry is expecting it to do well on its second day, which is Saturday and generally films’ collections rise on Saturday. As far as the public reports are concerned, Zero is getting mixed reviews from all across. Some are liking it while many are giving blah reviews of the films. Now, it will be interesting to know how this film sail through in the coming days after getting such assorted word of mouth. Zero will be considered a hit if it collects more than ₹ 200 cr nett box office collections in India. Its satellite and digital rights’ amount will also depend on the box office collections of India.
