As Stree crosses the 100 crore mark today, we celebrate it as a new beginning for storytellers and convey our best wishes to the team who not only dare to take up such a difficult subject but fared it with an exquisite brilliance that it got reflected on the screen with each passed frame. When the content is exquisitely rich and aided by some outstanding performances such an outcome is inevitable.
Stree Box Office Collections Day-By-Day
The film opened with moderate collections at the box office because no A-lister star was associated with the film, but the word of mouth was so strong it started dragging the audience to theatres and had its first weekend worth ₹ 32.27 cr. The glowing word of mouth kept on propelling the film to massive numbers at the ticket window and it ended up bagging ₹ 60.39 cr in its first week.
As the simultaneous release, Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se failed to impress, Stree, cashed it on the moment. Similarly, two big releases, Paltan, and Laila Majnu on 7 September, fell flat at the box office and, of course, this benefited the horror-comedy once again. That means Stree got a clear road to run its show at a fine face without having any obstacle at all. The two weeks window was more than enough for the film like this to break the record and enter the 100 cr club.
This Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starer Stree booked an extensive business in the second week and beat ₹ 35.14 cr reaching to the total sum of ₹ 95.53 cr. Despite facing a tough competition from, again films like Manmarziyaan, Mitron, and Love Sonia with rich content, Stree continued wrecking the ticket window and finally enter the 100 cr. club after 16 days of its release.
