Kangna Ranuat starrer period drama finally makes to the coveted 100 cr club. The film is running in its Week 4 at the moment and by the time you read this, the film crosses ₹ 103 cr. With this, Manikarnika turns out to be the second highest grossers of Kangna and her second 100 cr club film after Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015). Also, this film becomes the second highest grosser of the year 2019 and the second film to enter the 100 cr club after Uri-The Surgical Strike.
Released on the 25 January, Manikarnika –The Queen of Jhansi took a flying start at the box office by taking out the full advantage of the Republic Day holiday. It continued its superb run and touched the 50 cr mark in only 10 days.
Although, the budget of Manikarnika was a whopping ₹ 125 cr and reaching up to that total looks very difficult for the film due to new releases with alluring content. Moreover, Uri also doing exceptionally well despite being in its Week 6. Besides, Gully Boy had a fantastic weekend and raked in more than 70 cr in mere 4 days (extended weekend).
