After taking a flying start on its opening day, the much-awaited patriotic drama Kesari roars once again at the box office on its third day and smashes many records of earning. Directed by Anurag Singh, Kesari was released on Thursday to cash in on the festival of Holi and so did it do; therefore, Kesari day 3 collection were ₹ 21.06 cr which is whopping while on Sunday, Kesari 4 day collection took a jump once again and raked in a massive sum of ₹ 20 cr. Now, Kesari total collection or we say the extended weekend collection is ₹ 76 cr.
Kesari Made Smashed This Record
As we all know, On Friday collection of Kesari took a dip due to a working day and collected ₹ 16.70 cr. However, it picked up pace once again on Saturday and collected ₹ 18.75 cr. Thus, it crossed ₹ 50 cr in mere three days and took its total to ₹ 56.51 cr. Moreover, Kesari has now emerged as Akshay Kumar’s second highest opener after Gold released last year.
Will Kesari Cross 100 Cr?
This Akshay starrer war film has already crossed the ₹ 75 cr mark in only 4 days and entering the 100 cr club would not be a big challenge for it anymore. Moreover, the previous big releases like Gully Boy and Total Dhamaal have already exhausted their run and no big release on the coming Friday (29 March) will benefit this Akshay starrer. In fact, looking at its juggernaut it will not be a surprise if Kesari crosses 150 cr by next weekend.
Only Badla, which is still running well in its third week and taking in big numbers, can be a big threat to Kesari at the moment. This film will keep on making money until Kalank and Avengers End Game arrive in April.
