Gold Becomes Akshay’s Ninth 100 Cr Film and Raised His Stardom In the Era of Khans and Kapoor’s

The moment Akshay Kumar starrer and Farhan Akhtar produced Gold crosses ₹ 100 Cr on the box office, it became the ninth film of Akshay that has reached to this mark. Gold entered the ₹ 100 Cr club on its 13th day of release. Released on 15 August, Gold took a flying start by cashing on the holiday and bagged a whopping ₹ 25.25 Cr and ended the week with a massive total of ₹ 80.85. Gold continued digging gold at the box office and raked ₹ 20.75 Cr in its second week and reached to a grand total of ₹ 101.6 Cr. Thus, Gold entered the 100 Cr Club and turned a profitable deal for everyone involved in the film.

Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the second installment of Jolly got praised as well as money and earned a whopping sum of ₹ 117 Cr.


Based on a true story, this courtroom drama also proved to be a money-making deal for the actor. The 2016 film not only proved to a profitable deal for Akki by earned ₹  127.49 Cr at the window but fetched him the sole National Award as well.


And now this film, which is breaking all his previous records and running unstoppably. Gold has earned about ₹ 105 Cr at the box office.
