2.0 Box Office Collection Day 1: Chitti Actually Sets the Box Office On Fire

The highly anticipated sci-fi, 2.0 hit the theaters on Thursday 29 November and received a phenomenal response from all directions. Starring Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, and Amy Jackson in lead roles, 2.0 is released on 7000 screens all across the nation. We have just received 2.0 box office collection day 1 and they are not surprising at all because the grandeur, the high expectations, and the hype it created among the fans, it was already written on the wall that the film will crash all box office records on its opening day.

Helmed by Shankar, this cinematic marvel bagged a massive total of ₹ 40.25 cr on its opening day. It earned  ₹ 20 cr from its Tamil and Telugu versions while the Hindi version fetches it an overwhelming total of ₹ 20. 25 cr pan India. The overseas collections are yet to come and we believe that they will also be box office wrecking. It’s is noted that 2.0 has been released on 10,500 screens all across the globe. This gives us a clue that how big the film is going to be in terms of collections since it has received a phenomenal response from all walks of people; be it the common moviegoers or critics.

Why Such Huge Collections?

As we mentioned earlier, the film created a buzz among the fans right after it’s announcement followed by the entry of Akshay Kumar playing a negative role in the film and then the lavish budget was set to be spent on its awe-inspiring special effects (VFX); therefore, the film bagged the whopping sum on its first day. Cinema owners, who were very disappointed after the debacle of Thugs of Hindostan, told us that the advance booking for the film is also excellent not only for the weekend but for the weekdays as well.
